About EDS-Kcr
With the rapid advancement of proteomics,
post-translational
modifications (PTMs) of proteins, particularly lysine crotonylation (Kcr), have become
increasingly important in basic research, drug development, and disease treatment. Given
the limitations of current technologies for identifying these modifications, such as
complex procedures, high costs, and time consumption, we have developed a novel
bioinformatics tool named EDS-Kcr. This tool integrates the state-of-the-art protein
language model ESM2 with deep supervision techniques to enhance the
efficiency and accuracy of Kcr site prediction. The development of the EDS-Kcr model
not only overcomes many of the limitations of current technologies but also provides an
efficient and reliable tool applicable to disease diagnosis and drug development,
marking a significant advancement in the fields of protein engineering and
bioinformatics.
